Israel Bibleland Tour

The Israel Bibleland Tour focuses heavily on Jerusalem and the sites and regions that are prominent in the Holy Bible. You will spend 3 nights in Jerusalem visiting the Mount of Olives, the Gardens of Gethsemane and the Church of Agony as well as the Western Wall, Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Mt. Zion and Bethlehem*. On the fourth day you will drive north towards Nazareth passing by Jericho* and the Jordan Valley and on the 5th day highlights include the Sea of Galilee, Golan Heights and the source of the River Jordan. You will arrive in Tel Aviv on the penultimate day for a city tour with the last day at your leisure in Tel Aviv or you can take an optional tour to the Dead Sea.

Full Itinerary

Arrival

Day 1 | Monday

Your arrival in Tel Aviv marks the beginning of your journey to Bibleland. After passport control, be met by our representative who will be holding a sign bearing your name. Our representative will guide you to pick up your luggage, after which you will be escorted via Customs to meet your driver who will transfer you to your hotel In Jerusalem.

Jerusalem

Day 2 | Tuesday

Start the day at the Israel museum’s Shrine of the Book with the famous Dead Sea Scrolls, then to the beautifully renovated model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem, dating back to the time of the Second Temple. Enjoy exploring the picturesque village of Ein Karem in the south-western outskirts of Jerusalem (birthplace of John the Baptist). Following this you will visit Yad Vashem, the official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, established in 1953 and located at the foot of Mt. Hertzl. Your tour will end with a visit to Bethlehem*, the birthplace of Jesus, to visit the Church of Nativity and Manger Square. From Bethlehem you will return to Jerusalem for your overnight stay.

Jerusalem

Day 3 | Wednesday

We will enter the Old City of Jerusalem where you will see the Western Wall and the actual site of the Second Temple, the Temple Mount. Walk the Way of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa, to Calvary and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, housing both the traditional site of Crucifixion and the Tomb of the Resurrection. To the southwest, just outside the Old City, we will travel to Mount Zion, with the traditional tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem - the holy city for each of the world’s three great religions – Christianity, Judaism and Islam, from atop the Mount of Olives. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane, where Judas betrayed Jesus. At the end of the day we will return to your Jerusalem hotel.

Beit She'an - Nazareth - Safed

Day 4 | Thursday

Drive north passing by Jericho*, the oldest city in the world, through the Jordan Valley and the new settlements to Beit She'an. Here, you will visit the excavations of this amazingly preserved Roman City. Following this you will depart for Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation and Christian holy sites. You will then visit Safed, city of the Kabbalah and centre of Jewish mysticism to visit the beautiful streets of the artists’ colony. At the end of the day we will transfer to Tiberias and check in to your hotel.

Golan Heights - Sea of Galilee - Tiberias

Day 5 | Friday

Drive to the Golan Heights passing by Banias (source of the Jordan River) and former Syrian fortifications and Druze villages. Enjoy an Israeli Wine Tasting tour, visiting beautiful vineyards with breathtaking views where you will learn about the production process and taste a collection of fine and rare wines. Following this you will descend to the shores of the Sea of Galilee and Capernaum. Here, you will visit the ruins of the ancient synagogue, the Mount of Beautitudes, the site of the ‘sermon on the mount’ and Tabgha, where the miracle of the loaves and fishes took place. Continue to Tiberias for a short tour of this old centre of Jewish learning. There is an optional sailing trip across the Sea of Galilee to experience the tranquillity and scenery that has remained unchanged for the past 2000 years. At the end of the day, return to Tiberias.

Acre - Haifa - Caesarea - Tel Aviv

Day 6 | Saturday

Drive westwards through the hills of Galilee towards Acre to visit the old Crusader stronghold and medieval fortifications. Continue on to Haifa, ascending Mount Carmel for panoramic views of the city, including the Baha’I Shrine, Persian Garden and Haifa Bay. Proceed along the coast to Caesarea to visit the Roman Theatre and Crusader fortress, renowned as 'The Masterpiece of Herod the Great'. Your day will end with a short city tour of Tel Aviv and Jaffa, the ancient port city. At the end of the day you will check in to your Tel Aviv hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 7 | Sunday

Your final day can either be a day of leisure in Tel Aviv or alternatively an optional tour of Masada and the Dead Sea. Overnight stay in Tel Aviv.
