Religious Ceremonies

You are spoilt for choice with our wonderful church weddings, available either in delightful chapels, conveniently situated in some of our hotels, or in the following local churches:

Paphos – St Paul’s Pillar, St Georges Chapel
Larnaca – St Helena’s Anglican Church, Terra Santa Catholic Church
Ayia Napa – The Ayia Napa Monastery
Limassol – St Barnabas Anglican Church, St Catherine’s Catholic Church

Most Cyprus chapels have beautifully decorated interiors, many with the local traditional icons and
stain glass windows, thus enhancing your ceremony with a truly spiritual air.

Civil Ceremonies

A civil marriage takes place in the local Town Hall of your chosen Cyprus resort.  Most are indoor ceremonies, but outdoor Town Hall weddings are available, weather permitting, at The Yermasoyia Cultural Centre in Limassol, the Amphitheatre in Ayia Napa and Peyia Village, just outside Paphos.

A number of hotels have a designated Wedding Room, with bridal decoration, for civil ceremonies.  See also Beachside Weddings.

Beachside Weddings

Our specialist wedding hotels have imaginatively set up outdoor wedding decks or marquees in
beautiful surroundings, many beside the beach overlooking the sea, for those couples wishing for
an outdoor civil ceremony.

A religious service in the grounds of your hotel, again with a beachside venue, may also be available
following a civil marriage, dependant on your chosen resort.

Renewal of Vows

The Renewal of Vows in Cyprus is very popular for couples wishing to re-affirm their commitment to one another and the same procedure as that of church weddings is followed.
