Quinta Bela Sao Tiago

Quinta Bela Sao Tiago is a charming 4-star quinta located in the heart the old-town of Funchal, just steps away from many historical sites and landmarks, as well as several excellent local restaurants. This quinta was a traditional Madeiran Manor House, originally built in 1834, and has been lovingly converted to a hotel that retains much of its old-world charm. The banana plantation and orchid surrounding the manor house create a wonderfully serene atmosphere, and the lush green of the plants provides a wonderful contrast to the deep blue colour of the Atlantic Ocean.
