Day 1 | Arrival in Sri Lanka
On arrival in Colombo, meet your guide and transfer to the quiet coastal town of Marawila. With palm-fringed beaches, gentle waves and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s the ideal place to unwind after your flight.
Spend the afternoon at leisure, stroll along the beach, enjoy a refreshing drink at sunset, or explore nearby lagoons and fishing villages for a glimpse of daily coastal life. Settle in for a restful evening as your Sri Lankan adventure begins.

Day 2 | Marawila - Dambulla
After breakfast, travel inland towards Dambulla. On arrival, take part in an immersive village experience that includes a tuk tuk ride, a gentle boat trip across a lake, and a hands-on cookery demonstration followed by lunch prepared the traditional way.
Later, check in and enjoy a leisurely evening in the peaceful surroundings of your Dambulla property.

Day 3 | Sigiriya Rock Fortress - Minneriya Safari
After breakfast, set out to climb the legendary Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Walk past ancient frescoes, landscaped water gardens and centuries-old ruins before reaching the summit for panoramic views across the jungle.
In the afternoon, head to Minneriya National Park for an exhilarating 4x4 safari. Enjoy a refreshing gin & tonic as you witness one of the world’s largest gatherings of Asian elephants, often numbering in the hundreds. This remarkable wildlife encounter is a true Sri Lankan highlight.

Day 4 | Dambulla - Kandy
After checking out, stop at a spice garden to learn about Sri Lanka’s aromatic produce and its traditional herbal uses. Continue to the UNESCO-listed Dambulla Cave Temple, a magnificent complex of ancient murals and Buddha statues carved into the rock.
Arrive in Kandy and settle into your hotel before exploring the revered Temple of the Tooth, one of the island’s most important Buddhist sites. Later, join a guided night walk through Kandy’s lively streets, including a visit to a local bar, street-food tastings and a drink at the historic Royal Bar.

Day 5 | Nuwara Eliya - Hill Country Touring
After breakfast, transfer to Kandy Railway Station for one of the world’s most scenic rail journeys to Nuwara Eliya. First-class seats are secured whenever available, but due to demand, trains may occasionally be full or cancelled, in which case, the journey continues comfortably by car.
On arrival, visit a tea factory to explore the art of tea production, followed by a visit to a tea estate village. Later, check in at your hill-country hotel and enjoy a guided tour of Nuwara Eliya, including local markets and the tranquil Gregory Lake. The cool climate, colonial architecture and rolling green hills offer a refreshing change of scenery.

Day 6 | Ella - Yala
After breakfast, begin your journey south towards Yala. En route, stop in Ella to admire the famed Nine Arch Bridge, cascading Ravana Falls, and the serene mountain vistas that make this region so loved. Later, visit the colourful Kataragama Temple, an important pilgrimage site.
On arrival in Yala, check in and spend the rest of the day relaxing amidst the wild, rugged landscape of the region.

Day 7 | Yala National Park Safari
Enjoy a slow morning at the hotel before setting off in the late afternoon for a memorable jeep safari in Yala National Park, renowned for one of the world’s highest densities of leopards. As the sun dips, wildlife becomes more active—spot elephants, crocodiles, birdlife and, with luck, the elusive Sri Lankan leopard.
A rum & coke served in the heart of the wilderness adds a relaxed touch to the adventure. Return to the hotel to unwind.

Day 8 | Udawalawe - Galle - Beruwala
After breakfast, visit the Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawe, a rehabilitation centre caring for orphaned and injured elephants before their return to the wild. Continue to the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, wandering past colonial architecture, boutique shops and charming cafés.
After exploring, visit a nearby turtle hatchery to learn about local conservation efforts. The day concludes at your beach resort in Beruwala, where you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 9 | Leisure in Beruwala
Spend the day enjoying the sun, sea and sand. With an all-inclusive stay, take advantage of the resort’s facilities, relax by the pool or stroll along the wide golden beach. After days of exploration, this is the perfect place to unwind.

Day 10 | Relaxation in Beruwala
