Heritage of the Holyland Tour


This tour pays tribute to the land of Israel’s incredibly rich religious heritage and the offers the opportunity to visit many sites where miracles and biblical events occurred. The first night is spent in Tel Aviv, followed by 2 nights in Tiberias where you will get the opportunity to visit the site of Christ’s miracle the ‘feeding of the 5000’ and Mt Beatitude where He preached the ‘Sermon on the Mount’. Jerusalem will be your base for the remaining 4 nights where highlights will include visiting the Wedding Church where Jesus performed his first miracle, ‘turning water into wine’, a visit to Nazareth, Mt Zion to see the tomb of King David and the room of the ‘Last Super’ as well as a detailed exploration of Jerusalem’s Old Town.

Thursday - Fly to Tel Aviv from UK Airport

Depart from the UK for your flight to Tel Aviv. Overnight in Tel Aviv.

Friday - Tel Aviv / Sea of Galilee / Tiberias

Visit to Jaffa to tour the alleys of the old, fortified town. Drive to the ruins of Caesarea, continue on to Megiddo and toward the Sea of Galilee. Overnight in Tiberias.

Saturday - Sea of Galilee

Head towards Capernaum then Tabgha, the site of Christ’s miracle of the ‘Feeding of the 5000’ and the Church of Multiplication. On to Mt Beatitudes where Jesus preached the ‘Sermon on the Mount’. Ascend the Golan Heights to see the Hula Valley below. Overnight in Tiberias.

Sunday - Sea of Galilee / Jordan River / Jerusalem

Visit the Wedding Church in Cana where Jesus performed his first miracle of ‘turning water into wine’. Continue to Nazareth to see the Church of Annunciation and also Mary’s well and Joseph’s Church. Drive through the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Monday - Masada & Dead Sea

Drive to Masada. Ascend by cable car to the fortress, the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans. Explore the excavations, King Herod’s palace, the synagogue, and bathhouse and enjoy views of the Roman camps and the Dead Sea. Possible float in the Dead Sea. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Tuesday – Jerusalem

Visit to Mt Scopus with panoramic views of Jerusalem. Continue to the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane and the Western Wall and the site of the Second Temple, Temple Mount. Experience the Walk of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa to Calvary and the Church of the Sepulchre. On to Mt Zion to the traditional tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Wednesday – Jerusalem

Visit Yad Vashem the official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Continue to Ein Karem, Israeli Museum, Knesset (House of Parliament), and campus of Hebrew University. Possible visit to Bethlehem to visit Rachael’s Tomb and the church of Nativity. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Thursday – Return Flight to UK Airport

Transfer to Tel Aviv airport for your return flight to the UK.
