Budva and the surrounding ‘Budva Riviera’ is by far the most popular tourist destination in Montenegro. Budva is a small coastal town with a population of about 14,000. It is well known for having some of the best beaches of the Adriatic coast, boasting 35 beaches across a 21km coastline with Mogren and Jaz beaches being arguably the most renowned. Budva is also known for its vibrant night life and of course its well preserved medieval walled ‘Old Town’ (Stari Grad). The town of Budva dates back about 2,500 years which makes it one of the oldest urban settlements on the Adriatic coast.
