Embark: Malaga, Spain

Day 1

Begin your cruise by embarking on board the Harmony V at 3pm and enjoy dinner aboard the ship. Overnight stay in port.

Malaga, Spain

Day 2

The day begins with an optional full day excursion to Granada, an impressive city and the last Muslim city to fall to Christians in 1492. On the excursion you will visit the Alhambra, a collection of palaces and gardens built under the Nazari Dynasty in the 14th Century. The tour will also take you to visit the Cathedral and time for you to enjoy at leisure before returning back to the ship. In the afternoon you will depart Granada to return to Malaga. Overnight in port.

Malaga - Porto Banus - Gibraltar

Day 3

In the morning you will arrive at Porto Banus, which features an optional excursion to Ronda, 50km inland, famous for being the birthplace of modern bullfighting, occurring once a year at Feria Goyesca. The area of Playa De Toros is now a museum and can be explored by visitors. The morning excursion will also be including a visit to a secluded 16th century convent and Old Ronda, La Ciudad, with its cobbled streets and town mansions. You will then walk to Plaza Duquesa de Parcent, featuring a convent, two churches, the toy town bell tower of the Iglesia Santa Maria de Mayor. Enjoy an afternoon swim from the ship and time at leisure. In the evening you will sail to Gibraltar arriving late in the evening. Overnight in port.

Gibraltar - Seville

Day 4

On this day there is an optional half day excursion in the “Rock”. This excursion will begin by departing by bus from the port to reach the top of the Rock, offering breath-taking views from its position perched on the summit of Gibraltar. From there you will continue to St. Michael’s Cave to appreciate the stalactites & stalagmites and visit the WWII Tunnels. To end the tour, you will enjoy some free time for shopping in the Main Street. At midday you will sail to Seville.

Seville, Spain

Day 5

In the morning you will sail up the Guadalquivir river, arriving at midday with an optional excursion to Seville, one of the most stunning cities in Europe, where Spanish and Moorish art, culture and history can still be traced today. The optional excursion will also take you to the Cathedral, the Alcazar Palace and its Andalusian gardens, the Maria Luisa Park and the picturesque district of Santa Cruz. You will spend overnight in Seville port.

Seville – Jerez de la Frontera – Cadiz, Spain

Day 6

The day begins with a full day optional excursion in Seville and Jerez de la Frontera, renowned for its wine, horse breeding and flamenco. The tour will take you to visit the Alcazar, the Jerez Cathedral, before you discover Cádiz, known as the oldest inhabited city in Spain. (The ship will depart with passengers not joining in the excursion at 08:30 to reach Cádiz) Passengers can re-join the ship in Cádiz in the evening. Overnight at sea in Portimao, Portugal.

Day 7

At midday you will arrive in Portimao, where there is an optional afternoon excursion to Silves, mostly destroyed by its 17th century earthquake. Admire the old Moorish castle complex with its underground water reservoir, a 13th century Cathedral built by Alfonso X of Castile and a grand 15th century bridge over Rio Arade. During your time at Silves you will be able to explore the exhibits at the Museu Arqueologico. Departing Silves you will visit the Serra de Monchique, reaching the city surrounded by two hills. The city charms and attracts visitors with its cobbled streets that you will be able to walk through and its small doorways that house artisan trades. You will then return to Portimao for the farewell dinner. Overnight in port.

Day 8

Following your breakfast, you will disembark by 9am, escorted via bus transfer from Portimao to Lisbon, arriving to your Lisbon hotel (to be advised) at 12.30pm.

Day 1

You will meet at 1pm at Lisbon Hotel (to be advised) and transferred by bus transfer to Portimao so that you can board the ship. You will arrive in Portimao around 5pm and enjoy dinner on board.

Your day will begin with an optional excursion to Silves, mostly destroyed by its 17th century earthquake. Note: For the Granada & Alhambra Palaces excursion the tickets for Alhambra must be “purchased” latest 6 months in advance, therefore this tour must be pre-booked. Itineraries can be changed at the discretion of Variety Cruises and of the Vessel's Captain in case of adverse weather conditions - winds of 6/7 beaufort or more depending on the vessel- on port authorities not allowing a vessel to leave port or in case of other extraordinary conditions.
