Mellieha Bay

The bay is situated below the small village of Mellieha on the north-western coast of Malta. The town is located on a hilltop that offers stunning panoramic views over the northernmost tip of the island. Other places close to the area include famous beach locations, such as Ghadira Bay, Paradise Bay, Golden Bay and Armier Bay. This makes it the perfect place for people who want to enjoy the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

As a small village, it has had a largely unremarkable history until the 20th century, when tourism began to grow in Malta. Since that time, its status as Malta’s finest sandy beach has made it one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island. As a relatively small village renowned for its natural beauty, it is not the kind of place where you’ll find massive international outlets. Instead, it is the perfect place to purchase local Maltese goods, with traditional handmade jewellery and lace among the many things on offer. There are also several supermarkets selling the essentials, ensuring that guests can purchase everything they need during their stay.
