An experience like few others, the East Indonesia and Bali Itinerary on board the M/S Panorama II, is a spectacular voyage through time; where you will begin to unravel the splendid wonders of Bali and East Indonesia, through your exploration of some of its most beautiful islands. On board the 25-cabin Motor sailer Panorama II, you will enjoy full board dining, which includes a BBQ on the beach and Captain’s Dinner, as well as have the exciting option of joining the excursions at each destination on the itinerary. The itinerary will offer you an experience of some of the most impressive islands including Rinca and Komodo island, known for their exquisite Komodo dragons, Satonda island, Moyo island and Lombok; with each individual island giving you a first-hand experience of its diversity and cultural heritage, as you visit traditional village and discover village life by its locals. Full Itinerary

Embark: Benoa, Bali

Day 1 | Saturday

On arrival to Bali, you will embark on the M/S Panorama II at 4pm, with sailing from 8pm.

Bedil Island – Kramat Island

Day 2 | Sunday

You will arrive at Bedil Island at approximately 11am. The Bedil and Kramat islands are uninhabited and are connected to each other via a sand bank. Here, you will spend the morning travelling from one island to the other and enjoy a day of exciting beach activities. This includes, swimming, snorkelling, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. If the weather permits you will also enjoy a delightful beach BBQ. Overnight at anchor.

Kramat Island – Satonda Island

Day 3 | Monday

In the morning you will sail towards Satonda Island, its name derived from the dormant volcano on the island and its impressive crater lake in its center. Satonda Island is uninhabited and verdant, and you can take an optional walking tour to the crater edge and to enjoy the views across the island. You will pass by ‘wishes trees’, decorated with fishing stone, coral and shells. You may make a wish and leave your stone or shell also. You will then return to the beach for a swim or snorkelling, before leaving at sunset for Flores Island. Overnight at sea.

Flores Island – Kokotao Island

Day 4 | Tuesday

Following your arrival at Flores Island – Labuanbajo Port, there is an early morning optional excursion, which will take you to Batu Cermin market to experience daily life in Flores. You will then drive to Melo Village, to be welcomed by traditional dancers and witness more of the village life on the island. The island is part of the greenest on the archipelago with 85% of its population being Catholic. After your lunch at a local restaurant and some free time to meander and shop local artefacts, you will leave Melo and drive back to the Labuanbajo port. Overnight at anchor.

Kokotao Island – Rinca Island – Komodo National Park – Padar Island

Day 5 | Wednesday

In the morning you will arrive at Rinca Island, the place of the world famous Komodo dragon; a huge lizard that measures up to 11 feet in length and weighing approximately over 300 pounds. Local rangers will guide you on an optional excursion through the habitat of the dragons, who mostly feast on deer, wild pigs and buffalos on the island. Sighting of Komodo dragons are more frequent on Rinca rather than Komodo island. In small groups you will walk along trails with grasslands and vegetation to locate more Komodo dragons. At midday you will return to the jetty and re-board the ship. You will depart Rinca Island and head to the Padar Island’s Pink Beach for snorkelling and other beach activities. Here you can walk to an observation point and appreciate three of Padar’s magnificent beaches, one with pink, one with yellow and one with black sand. In the afternoon you will sail to Moyo Island and spend overnight at sea.

Moyo Island

Day 6 | Thursday

Following visits by world famous celebrities including Mick Jagger and royals such as the late Princess Diana, Moyo island is a truly unique hidden paradise. The island offers stunning forests, beautiful waterfalls, rivers and savannahs. You will disembark at the village of Labuhan Haji, where you will be greeted by villagers performing a traditional dance. Here, there is an optional half day excursion that will include walking around the village to see how local people carry out their daily activities, you will hike to Mata Jitu waterfall and pass through a cashew nut plantation. You will witness the beauty of nature through red dragonflies, insects, spiders and birds. Following the visit to Mata Jitu, you will return to Labuhan Haji and make your way back to the ship. Overnight at sea to Lombok.

Lombok Island (Pamenang Port)

Day 7 | Friday

On arrival at Pamenang Port you have the option of joining a full day excursion to the North of Lombok, where you will head to the Malibu cliff for a short break to appreciate the panoramic view of Gili Islands and Agung, Bali’s mount on the west. Your next visit will be at the Tanjung traditional market, where you will drive through the paddy fields to visit the Senaru village, where you will walk to Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls. Following lunch in a restaurant you will head to a traditional village for a short visit, where you will experience mountain tribal life and witness traditions still practiced. You will then return to the ship in the afternoon and enjoy farewell cocktails and the Captain’s dinner. In the evening you will set sail to Bali, to Benoa port.
