Quintinha de Sao Joao is a beautiful and quaint example of a traditional, old-style Quinta situated on the outskirts of Funchal. This Quinta is perfectly integrated into the island landscape, as well as the modest but beautiful gardens, giving guests a true appreciation of the surrounding nature. With only 43 rooms and suites and highly attentive staff, this intimate manor house gives a real sense of homeliness to its guests. A complimentary shuttle service to and from the centre of Funchal is provided twice a day and the journey lasts only 5 minutes. The Quinta features an indoor heated pool and a heated outdoor saltwater pool, as well as an impressive spa centre and gym. There are plenty of quiet areas around the Quinta and its gardens for those who wish to savour some tranquillity. The restaurant serves regional and international specialities with an emphasis on Goan cuisine and there is a piano bar to enjoy soft music whilst sipping an aperitif. Overall the Quinta de Sao Joao provides a wonderful experience of a small Quintinha in Madeira.
